SMA crossover - how ?
« on: September 21, 2016, 01:02:45 pm »
Hi, can I create a custom alert for a SMA crossover, e.g. "sma_20_60  crosses sma_200_60" ?  If yes, is RTH oder ETH data used or can I specify that ?  Thank you for your help; Martin

Hi .. we cannot show a cross, we can show when they are close:

sma_200_60-sma_20_60

That would be the custom formula to write and in the max box, you could put e.g. 0.10 which would show stocks within 10 cents of the cross.

I pasted Barrie's suggested formula code, sma_200_60-sma_20_60, and I get the error message "partially saved". Any ideas why this wouldn't work?

Thanks

Hi, that is a long time ago, I made an error, it should be:

sma_60_200-sma_60_20
