Ok I have tired that. The scan is just stocks up 2% from the close with 1000000 volume done today and your formula you pasted with .05 cent in the min column it gives for the top 2 examples GPRO  CELG . Im sure the software works im just missing something in the formula part.

Yes I beleive so I have read that document and I beleive it means that abs(price-sma_15_20) would be the 15 min 20 candle simple moving average. I attached a link on the post above that has the settings I used and the chart at the time. GPRO is a prefect example becuase it was number 1 on the list but never all day came anywhere near to the 15 min 20 candle simple moving average all day. EXPE is currently on the list at it has not been close to that in about 10 15 min bars. Im sure there is something fundamental that im not understanding.

Hi .. I am sorry - put the # in the max column, not the min - should work well now.

It still giving me CLEG about 50 cents away from the 15 min 20 period SMA and PANW about 1$ away. Just to confrim the formula settings. I have

abs(price-sma_15_20) as the only thing in the text box.
Units I have a $ sign
Format 1
Graphics. None

It seems fine with all the other filters i put in but not that one. Its almost like its completely ignoring it.

I tried it without the abs and it worked fine - maybe take that out and see if the ones above are working.

Hi .. the formula for the price being above the sma is:

price-sma_15_20

and for below:

sma_15_20-price

You could put e.g 0.10 in the max box to find stocks that are within 10 cents of the sma.

Here is where you can create the custom formula:

http://www.trade-ideas.com/AccountManagement/List.html

Click Create New and copy the formula into the source box - the filter will be added to to your filter list and will start with the letter U.
