Bounce play auto-trading
« on: August 19, 2014, 11:51:49 am »
Hello All,

I am working on bounce play automatic trading strategy. I got the video link below from YouTube but it is using different software.

The question is : Can we able to model the same strategy from the video to the trade idea platform?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fe7xxQ8lJ4o.

I couldn't understand about how to set up day trend in TI pro as it shows in video for other trading software.

Please let me know if anyone has idea to use this strategy.

Thanks

Hi Barrie,

Attached is the Screenshot of the config window.

Buy Rules :  1. Playing Long
                   2. Day Trend +ve
                   3. 1 Min Down Trend
                   4. BuySTOP=MIT.*5 MinHigh+1 (tick)  ( Cant understand this one) (MIT - Market if Touched)
                   5. S&P current greater than open

Sell Rules : Exactly opposite to Buy rules for Short play

Game play : Buy time : 9:45 to 10:00 (we can modify, it is used only for demonstration purpose)  Exit : 30 Min after Entry.  Share size = 100

What will be the alert signal and filters when we model it to TI pro?

Thanks

Hi ..

1. Yes
2. Yes if by +ve it means the stock is up for the day or if the stock has had a minimum # of up candles (could be 1,2,5,10,15,30 or 60 minute candles).
3. Yes, could be a 1 minute price drop
4. No, that can't be done.
5 . Yes
