20 days Highs/Lows [Donchian style]
« on: May 03, 2013, 04:08:59 am »
Hello, trade-ideas sounds like a great product but before I buy, I would like to know if it is possible to filter (or screen) stocks that
have been trading up/down for the last X days (say 20 or 55 days) .. trend follower here.
I tried the web-based custom scanner and found many useful parameters that definitely will help me, but I was not able to find how
to filter for stocks that been trending in the past X days.

If trade-ideas is not the right tool for this type of scan, I would appreciate if any of the gurus here could direct me to any other
service that might do what I  need.

Any help, much appreciated.

Cheers.

Hi .. there are filters that would allow you to see stocks that have had either a dollar or percentage change over the last 5, 10 or 20 days but that may not necessarily be a trend.  There is a filter that can show you how many up or down days in a row there have been.  And there is a filter that shows you the position in the 20 day range.  Maybe a combination of all could help.
