Earnings Date Filter
« on: April 16, 2012, 08:39:25 AM »
I have Earnings Date set to min=-0.25 and max=0.25

Is this correct: this translate into yesterday's market close to today's market open -- in other words, 4pm EST yesterday to 9:30am EST today -- regardless of my local time setting (PST)?

I believe that is correct.  We are going to make that user interface more easy to understand.  Thank you for sharing the confusion.

-.75 would equate to yesterday before the open
-.50 would be yesterday during the market
-.25 would be yesterday after the close
0 to .25 is before the open today
.5 is after the open and before the close
.75 is after the market close

Brad, what makes this confusing is that it's relative to the current time. For example, right now it is 7:15pm PST and I have some tickers (MTB GCI MAT) that have an E Date of 0.25

Does that mean "before the open today" or "before tomorrow's open"?

In other words, at what local time does an E Date of  +0.25 become  -0.75? At midnight?

This indicates it had reported earnings today before the market open.
