Spread Question
« on: April 05, 2012, 02:13:22 PM »
How do I filter my top lists so that they don't show me any stock that has a spread that is $0.05 or greater.

They will probably say that because the Top List is updated every 30 seconds, the spread filter that is available for Alert windows is not relevant for Top List windows, though I would think that the instant it updates, it could be relevant.

bbruin is correct about the 30 seconds.  However there are several ways that you can do it.  One is through volume and volatility.  More volatile stocks like AAPL and GOOG and PCLN for example will almost never appear on a Max 5 cent spread so exclude them vial volatility Max Volatility of like .2  You can then use volume average set at min of 2,000,000 to give you those name that trade enough to make the spread tight.
