view mode in 3.1

Hello i have downloaded the new version 3.1 and cant, find a way, to view the symbols only once to make a list?
You help is appreciated . Please reply with heading to use

Hi.  Go to the 'Tools' menu from the main Trade Ideas PRO console (the box with the connection status, green ball) and select 'Symbol Lists'. You can manage your lists from there.

i too want to view the symbols once to make a list.  i just upgraded to 3.1.29 and can't find the view mode option in it.  has this been implemented yet?

What exactly is it that you are looking for?  Do you want to be able to click on symbols and have them load into e.g an excel spreadsheet so that you can take a look at them later on?  That can be done now - just open a spreadsheet and drag the external link into the sheet - then every symbol you click on will load into that sheet - the symbols will also keep loading into whatever else you have linked TI with.

sorry about not being clear.  on version 2.x, i go to history / time frame, and set my parameters.

i then click on "view mode" , then group & sort by "symbol".

this gives me a list of stocks that appear during my timeframe, whether they appear 1 time or 100 times.

i couldn't find this feature in version 3.1.29; am i missing it somewhere?

In the redesign of Trade Ideas v3, there are still some items from the 2.0 version not yet part of 3.0.  The new version as you may know allows for Top Lists which can be resorted based on any column and viewed in many different ways - an innovation that came from the capability you describe in ver 2.0.

Currently in the single strategy alert windows of ver 3.0, you cannot sort on other columns while in History.  I will record your request for this feature and log it in our development queue.  Thanks for the reminder and suggestion.

thanks for getting back to me and letting me know - i'm definitely checking / playing around with the new features which look great and thinking of ways to use them.

i hope you can restore that view / sort by symbol option in one of the upcoming additional releases.

Hi bob01 - the view modes are available in the latest release of TI Pro 3.1.57.

This development release has a new option to the View Mode.  When you right click on an alert window and select View Mode, you can now group and sort by various columns in addition to being able to limit the number of times (or how often) the same symbol is displayed.
